MEET KRISTEN

Principal

With an eye for color, balance and scale, Kristen specializes in curating fresh, unique spaces.  By combining organic, modern and timeless elements, she delivers elevated, current yet comfortably livable interiors. That style is inspired by the breadth and variety of her experience. A Northeastern University graduate, Kristen cut her professional teeth in the fast-paced, no-nonsense Boston broadcast media industry.  It’s the background that expertly prepared her to manage tight deadlines, think on her feet and successfully juggle tasks galore. After several years, Kristen began to indulge her long-time love of residential interior design when she parlayed her expertise into a role at a New England custom cabinetry company.

In 2018, Kristen brought her passion for interior design and talent for producing blogs and vlogs to the firm of one of the nation’s foremost interior designers and television hosts, Taniya Nayak.  While at Taniya Nayak Design, Kristen worked on projects for Food Network’s “Restaurant: Impossible”, The Rachael Ray Show, The Home Depot, FrogTape Brand Painter’s Tape as well as other local residential and commercial projects.  With a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a dedication to helping clients live better in their spaces,  Kristen decided that 2020 was the right time to launch her own interiors business.  As the Principal of Kristen Apicerno Interiors, her days are filled with collaborative client meetings, brainstorming, planning and of course, styling homes.  Simultaneously, Kristen continues her work as part of the TND team.

Originally from Rhode Island, Kristen has called the Boston area home for over 24 years.  She lives in a full house with her two young boys, husband and rescue Lab, Lulu. When Kristen’s not working, she’s probably hosting some sort of get together, saving stray animals or taking her boys on adventure walks in the woods.
